does it offend you that i choose to own several guns for recreation use and self protection?

  • defend my home with an AR15/long gun, tell me how using a pistol is better in close quarters-its not.
  • pistols SUCK, get over it.
  • i may not live in Mexico or a 3rd world country but evil does exist and people are out to do harm, is it WRONG for me to train for that small common denominator?
  • i do not own/carry a gun to shoot someone, i own/carry a gun to SAVE someone.

evil does exist out there people. im sick of you telling me that i have nothing to worry about when i lock my doors at night or when i drive into town, why would i want to make it easier for them to hurt me? why do YOU want me to become a VICTIM? the police is a reaction force, go to a criminal justice class or open a text book on police, its simple as that.

Stupid Gun Laws: A Tale of Two Cities

focus on the PROBLEM, not GUNS.

teaching my little brother basic battery of arms manipulations with snap caps and dry fire

using my Ruger LCR; the firearms safety basics, hes learning how to load and reload, trigger press with breathing control and trigger reset while balancing a coin on the sights.

i ask him before i let him go off on his way why people would need to own guns, his response: 

“for people to protect themselves from tyrannical governments.”

hes 11 years old, a liberal democratic supporter with Obama 2012 pins to prove it and has been writing high school level papers on politics, has not talked or interact with me about guns until today. 

i had a tear in my eye…:)

i will only address this once, because it does happen.

first off, my condolences goes out the families who lost their loved ones this week, both in Oregon and today in Connecticut. 

it takes a disgusting coward to bring a weapon to places such as a mall or school, especially the case of an elementary school, to commit harm upon innocent people. i wake up this morning to people blasting my phone with this horrific tragedy, it truly is disgusting to hear. what kind of person would enter a premise of unarmed innocent children and open fire upon them? only further investigation will say really.

but look at the bigger spectrum here is that GUN FREE ZONES simply DO NOT WORK. it appalls me at times that people have the notion that making something illegal will prevent it from being done. 

MURDER IS ILLEGAL BUT IS STILL CARRIED OUT.

now, i was fortunate that whatever school i had gone to throughout my life that there was always a police station within 5 miles or an active community policing procedure upon campus. and yes there was a time of which i believed a state of security of that level is needed for such events, but understanding the fact of the matter that the police simply cannot be there at all times is something i soon came to realize. 

just the other day, a distant family member of mine in the west was in almost in an active shooter scenario at her university of CSU Fullerton. police were chasing 3 suspects and somehow the chase wound up on the university campus, 2 suspects were caught but the third was armed and on the university campus. fortunately, he was caught before committing any sort of harm upon the students but they were locked down in campus for several hours. where was campus security in PREVENTING this from happening? 

criminals will be armed, criminals will get access to guns and weapons either way. gun free zones do not work. look at Ft. Hood and several other military base shootings. now i address that this is a tragedy in which i truly do not have a response to as of today. but i will NEVER, EVER put on the notion that antigun agendas of taking guns is right. a day such as this will only play out the same as it has for several years and tragedies; antigun agendas arise, people will support the notion, people like me will only preach being armed saves lives, more people will over look of where these murderers target (gun free zones), and the cycle continues.

it has been a bad year indeed for gun rights and gun owners. but we must stead fast and continue on. 

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”

and today, the good men were not around. and tomorrow, if the liberals have their way and take away guns and a means of self defense, then the good men will be slain men.

do not let that happen,
